the godlight of spring sun
finds the windowsill plants

& paints there 

laser-like outlines

of blue & gold & white & yellow

around the points of leaves

& the swoop of stems

& the wings of petals 

& up the plumb of pots

& its life & glee & art

& the reason & an answer
& it  g l o w s

like heaven glows

in books & stories & tv 

GONE GREYSCALE & COOL

heavy loss when

the orange & saffron

electric blue

starburst sunset

streaking like a laser show

over six miles

of vanishing point

water & waves

is over

the candy floss clouds 

gone greyscale & cool

 

HEAVEN IN A MORNING NUTSHELL

a slow piano song
with a hook just for you
comes from the postmans radio

& the sun comes out
you didnt expect that
mind on something else

& it casts ghost lines
out the vanishing points
of the bushes gentle spaces

& they flicker
like a movie laser
in the atmospheres dust & vapour

you only sat 

on a simple chair

by an open streetside window

& you didnt expect this

not this heaven 

here in a morning nutshell

PURPLE FLOWERS

the dawn is late

all airbrushed aluminium clouds
and 
pink star war laser bursts

two birds fly past each other
in
the
silent
watercolours

i wonder like a poet - 
do they even know each other?
and
all
that
implies . . .

hospital staff arrive
smiling at the break in the cloud
with
a
bunch
of purple flowers and butterflies
for
a
tall
strong
bereaved
head nurse
