TRIUMPH GAS TANK

the universe
reaches
from inside of you
to wherever forever
& i would kick myself
if my time tickered out
before its secrets were out
& it built a bonfire of paradigms
& steve mcqueen returned to light it

like he returned
with free razors & bulk soap
to
his
old
kids home

one red shirt collar tip
pocking out
a mustard sweaters crew neck

beat up triumph gas tank
between his denim legs

hollywood in his hip pocket

TONIGHT & EVERYNIGHT

& then -

my dirty washing written down -

some block or fissure
must be on the mend
&
my soft bridge strengthened
for shelter travel & trade

at least
thats the intent

~

& you know

if this was paper
it would be bonfire night

tonight & everynight

AUTUMN ON THE NEXT PAGE 1

i want it
always spring

warm & new
winter
unglued

i want my
flip flops
flip flapping
in
a
light fun tumble
of
inconsequential rain

with autumn on the next page

&

mindfulness
that cannot
turn blue

HEY !

  hey gone friends -
wine fields
dry thatch
left behind
  for
new indie youth and goth mp3s
  hippying off the concrete grid
  to
  their VU rediscovery -
    now
    OUR
    growed-up collar has bunkered / buckled under disease . . .
remember
when
the
dealers phone box was a derelict pagoda ?
remember
the
morning meat bus and puked-on suede
  that
  stank
out the hangover beans in KFC ?
and
all
the backpacks of stolen government hemp
  stashed fruitless in backroom lockers
  when
  the
mall was our day-place of business and escape ?
remember when
any
greenhouse / caravan / copse between the A roads
  was
  a
small town opium den - the valium at faster-miles-an-hour
  off-road
by the bonfire hole ?
    remember ?
    the
    moon was almost perfect
    every night
and the clouds van Gogh paintings
    unreal
    at
    dawn
    when the birds spoke words
    we
    all
    understood
