LAODED & IMPLAUSIBLE

we swallowed
the
pills
he
took
from
a
strangers purse

& when dawn came

it flashed me

like a subway perv 

& i found myself  

loaded & implausible

on the rubber slabs & bark chips

of a stark playground scene

cackling at the primary colours

of all the swings & slides

& at the browns 

the browns

of the logs

of the climbing frame wood

MERCURY SPILL

the
pain
pretended
at a dull ache
but we both knew
it was fire
&
the shape
of a mercury spill

& the shirt
on the hanger
on the line
like a sail
slides away
on the wind

MITHERED ON THE WAY

problems divined

with ham & a slide rule

i approach their roots

with bubble wrap & blades

mustered brain tools

wrapped in a gauze

of understanding 

& frozen & loosened 

& baked & mithered 

along the roman way

that was a trip not a journey

& amazed at love

WHERE SANITY TUCKED ITS FEET

i feel

its like
as if
times been being

s t r e t c h e d

instead 

of its 

regular

subjective

slide

its tension 

let loose

i felt 

it crash 

into tender places

upsetting the dinner table

where sanity tucked its feet

the clocks i thought
