FEARS FACED - A SHORT STORY POEM TREATMENT

all his burned belongings
are ash & mess now
effluent in the estuary pull

he stands naked now
abroad & in a desert
smashed spectacles at his bleeding feet

theres murder behind him
confessions & incriminations
in the newspaper mail

his last meal was
his mobile phone

fears faced
or
getting there

~

lobotomy spoon held loose
in a zombie hand

his doubts jam now
flung on the nights scree

hes waiting on police now
an ambulance
bit of rendition maybe
or holy wrath

& he is smoking Camels again
or trying to - hes clumsy

his fears faced
or
getting there

PILTDOWN MAN IN THE MUMMY EXHIBITION

( dont ask why but fyi-

  my
  brainmind
  has
  gone
  half biblical & full epic

  a glacier mint clarity glimpse
  outside the fug
  of coastal fog

  &
  its in this state

  of
  ministry ?
  of
  industry ?

  that
  i wonder . . . )

what is my suffering
to
the
suffering of ages ?

i am piltdown man
in the mummy exhibit

~

the
rendition extraordinary
detention borderly
&
starvation incontinently

the
damnation historically
sickness unnecessary
&
poverty geographically

the
extinction constructually
genocide religiously
&
monks inflammatory

all make me
piltdown man
in the
mummy exhibit

~

what is my suffering
to
the
suffering of the ages ?

well- its
      M I N E

      &
thinking different
stinks
of a stasis agenda
