ABOUT A TSHIRT

 big boy
 knickers on'

rages the twisted dude in the awful film

but thats no matter

anyway as

i am absorbed
by this tshirt 

i dug out

from long ago & musty stasis

its on my lap now

& i finger its guts

it is hard-packed 

with drinking ghosts 

& smells of the silt

of an old depression

SABBATH OUT MY EARS

i cant remember
what the old lady
on the bus
was telling me
but i know
i told her
to tell it
to her sons
& her doctor too

thank you for listening to me

she said / tiny voice / wet eyes
i nodded / smiled / got off

it was long ago
she must be dead now

i hope she knows
i took sabbath
