ANCIENT OAKUM

its
all
like
dried up glue

stringy & ugly
& something to pick at

ancient oakum come loose
& on the way
to the kitchenette bin
in the peach colour prefab

then landfill
or a south pacific beach

where the turtles
cosplay westerners

but never for long

LANDFILL HILL (AFTER LISTENING TO BOB FORREST)

most
everythings
ilandfill hill *

apart from love & fear
these jeans
this hat

1000 unceremonied burials

we went mad with stuff

~

impossible / unlikely / crazy
as it feels / is / sounds

one day i may be
blown dust & smoke drift
loose in the bird cloud sky

except for my love & my fear
theyre
the hills
the mountain valleys

timeless maybe & almost music
tomorrows uncut songs

blunt mineral

potential in the stone

~

i hope they keep you up
or you find others that do
on the streaming dial

i hope they save your life
save your love & your fear

i hope you give
my vintage denim
a good home

pockets mad with stuff

above landfill hill

* in spirit at least-
  dont look in the loft

FUTURE ME

i am 124

i am in some
automated precinct cafe
deep in airstrip one

pay an army surplus drone
thru the nose for real coffee

stroke my effort of beard
and
gesture outside
and
say

i remember when all this
all THIS
was landfill

i
laugh
to
myself

donor card in my hand

hungry for the past
and

massive heart attack

MEET ON THE LEDGE

theres this song
i only remember

. . . meet on the ledge . . .

its the loneliest goodbye
as
a
beautiful appointment

i picture a rocky shelf
its kind of been there all along
but we just didnt know

like a nature reserve built on landfill
thats outside streetside tunnel vision

or like when tarzan visited the elephants graveyard on tv
you just need to know the right vines
to
push
aside

i picture people appearing in ones and twos there
a neglected light shining now from inside them

maybe some hold hands now
as things fall away
and theres dignity
quiet
subdued sun
everything aok everything right
torn holes filled
as if with fertile loamy soil
and no doubt
at all
at last

a warmth long missing is revelation
that fits like bath shrunk 501s

and theres a rack of wings there
to choose from

in wonderful shades
of
dulux
grey

WHA? POP TRILOGY

i got suckered
into
reading news online

instead
of
Writing
the
world
Right

now i am FULL
and
have
to
go shit it all out quick

~

under crossrail brexit junkie moon

wonder -

what of all those misc objects
from
my
past ?
all those plastic things

touched and held ?

landfill

theyre in landfill baby

under a crossrail brexit junkie moon

~

it bothers me now

ill and sick and a shadow

that i am in no condition
to
tackle endtimes
or
weather the apocalypse

like
i
always
thought
i
would
