PUNCTUAL SUMMER

summer is on time

& unusual because of it

& 

in the heat 

is a hiatus of things
& 

all the muggers 

lie down with the lambs
& 

crane flies come inside

tired of the wild grasses

& 

we have ice cream

& 

nothing is urgent

& 

everything 

is 

simple & still & poised & placed

as a sofa facing

a quiet tv thats on

i put the tv on

& its not a show hes famous for

& i never knew he was in this show

or even knew of this show at all

but 

it was very very nice 

to see that avid urgent fireball

that is rik mayall again

rain to lighten their load

watch the sky from the window

the washing machine hums domestic
cleaning
food
from 
my clumsy clothes
