on the morning lawn

is drinking coffee

& sitting

like the thinker

rigid & bowed 

in galaxy sized angst

out of sleep & already inside

the onion of the day

THE SMALL TOWN FALL DOWN

the 2 AM rivet moon
glows out the indigo
of a dark-wash denim sky

& i make grass angels
in the early dew

on the rugby field
of my old school

friends stealing bikes
in the side street gloom

earths girth pressing
on my genuflecting back

THEY FORGET WE THROW THIS SHIT AWAY & BONUS POPLINGS

theyre selling us 

sea plastic now

as ecological bangles

like they forgot
